2022 Prayer Guide

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

January

Pray for the overall success of Burden Share

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.  Proverbs 16:3

February

Pray for the Nominees

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18

March

Pray for the Nominators

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.  James 1:5

April

Pray for Donations

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians 9:7

Pray for Nominations

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,  and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Pray for partnerships with local churches

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.  I Corinthians 1:10

Pray for the Board Members

The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.  Proverbs 18:15

Pray for Teamwork

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.  Matthew 18:20

Pray for Love

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.  John 15:12

Pray for Servant Hearts

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’  “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’  “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or in prison, and did not help you?’  “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’  Matthew 25:40-45

Pray for Non-Monetary Burden Sharing

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20
